 Out hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and co-workers of those killed, missing or injured in the horrific 11th of September terrorist attack. The strength and character of America is no better exemplified than by the heroic actions of the firemen, policemen, paramedics, doctors and a multitude of other officials and citizen volunteers involved in the rescue, recovery and investigative efforts. We have all been affected, and nationwide there has been an upwelling of support, unity and patriotism. Many have given blood, others have donated money or time. We have been teaching classes and offering tours in paddling, climbing, hiking, and camping to thousands of people since 1985. Operating under permit with the Sequoia National Forest, trips are conducted on the Wild & Scenic Kern River, at Isabella Lake, and in the majestic mountains of the Southern Sierra Nevada.
